Canvas & layers

The canvas is infinite; the layer list is its table of contents.

Navigate your canvas

Pan and zoom to move between an overview and close-up work. Hold Z to bring up the quick minimap at your cursor, then release to dismiss it.

Organize with layers

The layer list reflects the structure of your document. Frames hold related content, and groups keep selections together. Select layers on the canvas or directly in the layer list.

• ⌘ G groups the selection.
• ⇧ ⌘ G ungroups the selection.
• Escape deselects or dismisses the current interaction.

Work with precision

Use the inspector for exact positions and dimensions. Toggle rulers with ⇧ R and guides with ⇧ G when you need reference points for your layout.
